Rovio’s Battle Bay recently exhibited that there’s an urge for food for high seas swashbuckling among the growing mobile online shooter market.
If you’d like something a little more serious, tactical, and historically sound from your naval skirmishes however, World of Warships Blitz Cheats could be for you.
Having just came into soft release in the Philippines, I thought I’d put the game through its paces.
The name may have tipped you off, but World of Warships Blitz Cheats is from the same team that helped bring you Term of Tanks Blitz. Just like that game, it began its life from PC before directing its prow towards mobile-land.
Essentially, the game boils down to shooting true to life opponents and wanting to take the other team’s territory by sailing into their flag zone. It’s that you’re doing so with hulking multi-tonne battleships with the turning circles of, well, battleships.
Much like its forerunner, World of Warships Blitz Hack isn’t your average run-and-gun action game. There’s a genuine sense of weight to its battle. It feels satisfyingly mechanical.
Every move you make here must be organized and thought through. The actual fact you are piloting huge boats means that it takes some time to get up to rate and, crucially, flip. Aiming must be done little by little and delicately, lest you get away from the focusing on reticule.
Thar she blows
The huge distance you indulge your goals at plays a part too. You will need to skilfully lead your photos when interesting a moving aim for, while getting the powerful torpedo on goal (for the boats that contain them) requires a dangerous combination of being both up close and side-on to your aim for.
That’s not even considering the necessity to released deck fires (there’s location-based harm here) and send out repair crews to patch yourself up mid-fight.
Basically, challenge in World of Warships Blitz is difficult. Once I transferred clear of the tutorial battles and into online battles against real players, I needed repeated poundings from patient, wily competitors.
You should thing your goes through – charging straight into the fray without back-up is a sure-fire way to get blown out of the water.
I have no doubt that World of Warships Blitz is likely to be a massive hit with a sub-sector of players, as it’s going to alienate those after an instant blast.
I’m less certain the way the game’s freemium composition will pan out. I came across the machine for purchasing new ships to be always a little opaque to state minimal, and it remains to be seen how a lot of an advantage splashing out real money on the fancier models will give you.
Given the demanding and tactical character of the fight, though – not to mention the developer’s pedigree – I’m assured that World of Warships Blitz will be an interesting skill-based multiplayer game when it finally hits the App Store proper.
